Petition to play Lift Every Voice and Sing at Major School Sporting Events

Lift Every Voice and Sing also known as the Black National Anthem is a prominent song rooted with Black history. Of course I don't think it should replace the current National Anthem but I ask for it to be played as well. A majority of the football and basketball team are Black and according to College Simply 8% of the University's population are Black as well. The University of Miami's mission is "to educate and nurture students, to create knowledge, and to provide service to our community and beyond. Committed to excellence and proud of the diversity of our University family, we strive to develop future leaders of our nation and the world." To show true pride of our diverse university Lift Every Voice and Sing should be played.
