Don't Deny Transplant Because of Medical Marijuana Use!

Toni Trujillo was removed from the organ transplant list due to legal medical marijuana use.

She came to California to get special treatment at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for a rare disease that makes her kidneys inflamed. Her first transplant was in 1991, and she's been on dialysis awaiting her second transplant since 2007.

Even though medical marijuana was recommended to her by a doctor, the hospital is forcing her to go through a six month program that includes random drug tests and weekly substance abuse counseling before they'll put her back on the list -- and it'll be at the very bottom.

Please tell Cedars-Sinai Medical Center that Trujillo should immediately be reinstated on the transplant list and to change their policy about medical marijuana use!

Please put Toni Trujillo back on the organ transplant list and change you all's medical marijuana policy. She was taken off after this establishment -- Cedars-Sinai Medical Center -- learned that she had been using medical marijuana that was recommended to her by a doctor.

It is not fair to put her at the bottom of the list after she has been waiting sine 2007, and only after she does substance abusing counseling and random drug tests for 6 months, because of this!
