Protest the Barring of Palestinians with American Citizenship from the Occupied Territories

Sam Bahour, a former resident of Youngstown Ohio, who returned to Ramallah 13 years ago to help create a sustainable Palestinian economy is going to be deported from the west bank because of Israeli
administrative policies aimed at deporting Palestinians with foreign passports from the occupied territories.  We demand that the secretary of State will request
Israel to immediately reverse its decision and give Sam and other Palestinians with an American Passport a status that will enable them to continue working towards a sustained Palestinian economy, to maintain a possibility for peace.
A letter to House Representatives, State Department Officials and Secretary
of State

Currently the situation in the
West Bank and Gaza is very dire. The economy
and public systems in those areas are falling apart and another cycle of
violence seems inevitable. On top of that administrative actions are taken
by
Israel to prevent Palestinian with foreign citizenship to stay in the
occupied territories. One of these visionary people is Sam Bahour, a former
resident of
Youngstown Ohio, who returned to Ramallah 13 years ago to help
create a sustainable Palestinian economy.  Despite major obstacles, ongoing
violence and limitations on travel and commerce, he has been key in creating
more than 2000 jobs in this beleaguered region. Because of Israeli
administrative policies aimed at deporting Palestinians with foreign
passports from the occupied territories Sam has been notified that he will
be denied entry when his visa expires (the end of October).

We American Jews, Muslim and Christians, Israelis, and Palestinians living
in Western Pennsylvanian and elsewhere demand that the
US will intervene on behalf of Sam Bahour and many other Palestinians  carrying an American Passport.  We demand that the secretary of State will request Israel to immediately reverse its decision and give these men and women a status that will enable them to continue working towards a sustained Palestinian economy, to
maintain a possibility for peace.
