Prevent the Environmental Causes of Breast Cancer NOW!
We must take the issue of Breast Cancer and the Environment into our own hands! Sign this petition to protect children from potential cancer causing pesticides, that are currently sprayed on schoolgrounds. We know that exposures at a young age can spark cancer growth later in life, so we must take action early!
Increasing evidence suggests that toxic chemicals and pollutants are contributing to the high rates of breast cancer in the United States. Exposures to these toxins when we are young may lead to the development of breast cancer when we are older. Yet, the government allows the spraying of potentially carcinogenic pesticides to be sprayed on our children's schools!
The School Environment Protection Act (SEPA) provides basic levels of protection for children and school staff from the use of pesticides in public school buildings and on school grounds. Please join environmental, public health, education and children's advocates in voicing your support of the Schools Environment Protection Act.
The government must take concrete action NOW to protect us from environmental causes of breast cancer. It is critical that Congress sign SEPA as an imperative step towards eliminating breast cancer.
Sincerely,
The undersigned
