Support Our Proclamation: "What is Happening to NYS Early Intervention" Awareness Months!

Reductions continue in NYS Early Intervention.
Have you read about it in the Newspapers?
Heard about it on TV?
Listened to it on the radio?

Who CARES about our most vulnerable children?
Why do we appear to no longer be a child-centered society?

Who IS talking about NYS Early Intervention?
WE Are and now YOU are!

Help us to demonstrate to the NYS Executive Chamber that WE care! And that they should too!
Help us to demonstrate to the NY Media that WE care! And that they should too!

Reductions to Early Intervention are NOT cost effective.
WE know and now YOU know that for every dollar spent in Early Intervention at least $7 dollars are saved in long term special education costs!

NYS Early Intervention works!
NYS Early Intervention can only evolve if change is implemented carefully,  thoughtfully, and democratically and NOT as a byproduct of bureaucratic bungling or bumbling!

Why must you voice your opinion on the reductions that are occurring in NYS Early Intervention?
Because if you do not, our most vulnerable children, children with developmental disabilities, will need to be supported in Special Education for their lifetime.

Who will pay for this?
The State of New York!
In the end, is this a cost-savings?
NO! NO! NO!
What is it then?
Fiscal blindness!
Does this make sense to you?

Early Intervention has the potential to eliminate the need for future special education needs of our most vulnerable children.
Early Intervention has the potential to enable children with developmental disabilities -- those that cannot walk, talk, think, listen, attend, see -- to evolve, change, progress and lead productive, meaningful lives.

Early Is Everything!
