Stop sexually explicit airport scanning devices

The shocking invasive power of new scanning devices being purchased by American tax dollars for implementation at airports violates personal privacy and dignity.  The explicit detail of private body contours, breasts, scrotum, pubic area is inappropriate, unnecessary, and violates basic rights.  (The nipples etc had to be blurred for this photo was published in news media when the first couple trial samples were placed.  This  technology duplicates current metal detection scanning and wastes money while violating basic human rights to privacy.  The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) provides more information on this at www.aclu.org.
We the undersigned request your immediate attention to preventing the implementation (by Department of Homeland Security) of these invasive sexually explicit scanning devices at airports.   Current metal detection scanning has been paid for and in operation.   The only (and questionable) additional outcomes from these new scanners is the dubious desensitization of American citizens to a total invasion of personal lives, and an enforced submission to pictures of their naked bodies by strangers in order to board a plane.  This is hardly appropriate or acceptable.  We want some common sense and request intensified congressional oversight of Department of Homeland Security Activity, funding and budgets.
