Adopt Roscoe

In fourth grade I watched "Where the Red Fern Grows". Ever since then I have wanted a larger sized dog, more specifically a German Shepherd. Since fourth grade I have asked for a German Shepherd, and now that I am ending my Freshman year in college, I am wondering if that will ever happen.See that puppy in the picture? His name is Roscoe, and he is looking for a home. The shelter he is currently living in will be putting him to sleep if he is not adopted. How could you put down an animal with a face like that? Does he not deserve a chance at life with a loving, caring owner? 
My reason for my petition is not only because I want to adopt this dog, but also to make a point. My 13 year old brother asked for a kitten and within a week he got a kitten. How is that fair to someone who has been asking for a dog for eight years? 
Please sign this petition. I know this dog is made for me, and I want to prove that he and I deserve each other. It's been long enough.
