Dear Mr. Gore,
Our nation is at a critical time in its history. We are involved in a war that should never have been waged. Our economy is heading towards a recession. And the American people seem more divided than ever before. America needs a leader who has the judgement and character to bring the nation together and solve these great problems.
Barack Obama can be this leader. He has worked with people from all walks of life to achieve great things as a community organizer in Chicago, a state senator in Illinois, and now a United States Senator. Think of what this great leader could achieve as President of the United States.
Barack Obama had the judgement and courage to oppose the war in Iraq before it began and before it became popular to be against it, just as you found the strength to tell the world of the dangers of global warming before it became widely accepted. Senator Obama has the compassion that is needed to help families across this nation come out of poverty and live the American Dream. And he has the strength of character to bring people together across party lines to make life better for every American. This is why my friends and I believe you should endorse Senator Barack Obama for President of the United States of America.
