Humans never needed internal combustion engines. It seemed like a good idea at first, but now the planet is at stake. The Industrial Revolution is only 100 years old. Where do you think technology will be 10,000 years from now? Do you really want to be responsible for the extinction of Life as we know it? All technology must constantly be investigated to determine whether or not it is safe for the Earth and all its species, because all beings are linked together in this cycle of life.
We need leadership to save the world. We have enough polluting machines out there already to keep us going for a while. It is time to force the automotive industry to produce electric cars because they have already been proven time and time again. The Saturn EV-1 was the perfect example. We need serious immediate mandating change. Weaning off ICE's begins with a complete ban on ICE production. Anything less, we feel is neglect.
