Captive animals in bad conditions

How would you feel if you were to be in a small, dirty cage with many people staring at you with big eyes?
Well most animals in Dubai Zoo are kept like that! 
They have small cages and it takes only 30 seconds to walk back and forth. Animals in other zoos have enclosures with their natural environment, but at the Dubai Zoo they don't. They're bored because there is no equipment they are interested to play with. Some of the animals are lonely bacause they were put in cages on their own. 
Now CAGES is supporting and helping the animals of Dubai Zoo. 
There were plans to move the Dubai Zoo to Dubailand which has more space for the animals but we understand the project owner, Tatweer, has stopped all work on the Dubailand project and everything is on hold - possibly even cancelled for long term. That leaves the zoo project without any prospect of being started any time soon.
We can help this situation if we get enough atttention. 
You may help by signing this petition so we can show Tatweer and the Dubai Municipality how many people agree that Dubai Zoo needs better conditions for their animals and get a move on as quickly as possible.
