CONDUCT UNBECOMING OF A MAYOR

WE, the undersigned, demand concern and action to look into this mess being created by one of your mayors in the province of La Union, Teresita Abad Ong of Aringay.
Excerpts: Aringay Police Blotter. June 26, 2009. Si Mrs. Cacanindin ay isang tindera na nagsalita noong public hearing sa palengke tungkol sa Baguio basura na dadalhin sa Aringay.
Josefina Cacanindin y Mabanta, 68 years old, married and a resident of Sta. Rita West this municipality reported to this office that on or about 241500H June 2009, she was invited by a municipal employee to report at Mayor's Office and thereat she was confronted by the Local Chief Executive, Hon. Teresita Abad Ong about her remarks regarding the Engineered Sanitary Landfill. Mayor Ong allegedly furious and told her the following remarks:" Dagita kasta nga tattao idiay ayanmi, iyoy-oy da ti bobon ta putoden ti dila na. Kayat mo ta idisok ta tsinelas ku ta rupam" and even challenged her to a fistfight. She further added that Mr. Napo Ong uttered the following: " Tiriterem ket ta tenggednan ta Malpasen". Mayor Teresita Ong also told her the following: " Illiterate ka, Okinnan bakbaketan ka bastos ka". Above mentioned remarks were uttered in the presence of her cousin Leticia Lopez, Estrella Mamaril, Linda Frigillana, Chichita Dacanay, Atty. Edward Garcia and Boyet Bernal. Also present were SPO1 Navalta and PO2 Galut.
This is a gross conduct unbecoming of a mayor. She must be investigated and pay for her actions.
