Halal and Shechita are a method of animal slaughter, used by Jews and Muslims by slitting the animal's throat, letting it choke in its own blood. This cruel method is only banned by Norway, Iceland, Sweden and Switzerland in Europe.
We can not accept that animals should be brutaly sloughtered because of an immigrant religion. This is one of the most grotesque suggestion I have ever heard.
If Muslims and Jews can not eat meat from animals that are slaughtered in a human way, perhaps Muslims and Jews ought to consider becoming a vegetarian themselves?
It is simply unacceptable that EU wants to re-infoceing slaughter without anaesthetic, to satisfy primitive religious vews, as Norwegian Muslims has accepted our laws about using drugs before slaughter since 1929.
This has nothing to do with freedom of belief. Actions that Muslims/Jews expose towards others - including animals - must of course be limited on the basis of important human values.
The fact that some people may accept such suffering because of a certain view of religion is completely over my grasping ability to understand.
