Supplemental Security Income

I am protesting the fact that beginning in May, California cut SSI from 907. to 870. January 2009 the amount included 233. from California. The Law provided the raise because there was a cost of living increase during the past year. Now the California amount is being decreased to 196.. The cost of living has not decreased and I think the checks should be raised again. Lowering the amount is unfair. * The amount has been lowered again. Now it's 850.!  179 from California! This income is for blind, aged, & disabled people who can't get social security and who haven't worked long enough to get it and who cannot support themseves totally and sometimes not at all.. With the rising cost of living, this income has been cut back to what it was 4 yrs ago. This doesn't make sense at all and is totally unfair. Please sign this .
