Bucks County Council, Bucks Transport and Arivva buses have cut late night services on their 300 route. The last bus from High Wycombe to Aylesbury is now just past 10pm, with the last service from Aylesbury to High Wycombe leaving Aylesbury at 905pm. According to Arriva, 'the late journeys are lightly used and financial support has been removed which means the service is no longer commercially viable.'
Cuts to these services will effect many who use the service to get to and from work. I myself finish work at 10pm and have relied on the 2205 (and 2305 at times when services haven't run or I've been unable to leave on time) to be able to get home.
This bus route is a major access route to those wishing to visit the large hospital in Stoke Mandeville which is particularly important as A + E and maternity services were cut to Wycombe hospital in recent years. This is without the affect it will have on staff members of the hospital and of other trades and services in the Aylesbury and High Wycombe areas making use of these services.
PLEASE REINSTATE THESE SERVICES
