Free Stephen Rutt

  • Stephen Rutt is being held at Schuylkill County Prison illegally. Mr. Rutt's civil rights have been violated repeatedly. He is on bail with no detainer, he has no future court dates, he has been repeatedly denied legal counsel even though hearings have taken place in his absence for a crime he was never arrested for. He was transported under the authority of an unknown entity from Frackville State Penitentiary to Schuylkill County Prison for a hearing that never took place without the benefit of legal counsel. This is a continuing and extreme miscarriage of justice which violates his right as an American Citizen to due process under the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution of which those in power are sworn to uphold. Mr. Rutt, his family, friends as well as the numerous other United States citizens who have signed this petition implore upon this office to demand the dismissal of the charges against him, freeing him and thereby upholding the constitution they are sworn to protect.

Thank you to everyone who has signed and shared our petition!! We are almost have way to our goal! A judge has ordered a full investigation into the arrest and Steve's case. Steve has been granted a continuance so that his lawyer can provide documentation that I already have to prove our allegations. At the hearing, the case will be dismissed and those responsible for these wrongdoings can finally be indicted and my husband can finally be free 💜👊
