We, the parents who have signed this petition, are asking the York District School Board to replace Mr. Gord Wagner with a different principal.
He deals with many anger issues which is appearant every time he has a conversation with a child. He often screams at children. He touches children exessively and makes them feel uncomfortable.
He also does not treat all children equally, for example sending a kid home for the rest of the day or suspending them, while another child, who might have done something much worse, only gets a talking to.
He also makes most of the parents feel very uncomfortable. There have been many judgmental and inappropriate comments that he has said to a lot of the parents over time. This makes it extremely difficult for the parents and the school to work together as a team with the common goal of the children's education in mind. This ultimately hurts all the children who attend Maple Leaf Public School.
