SAY NO to a French company NEOEN who are proposing to build a Wind Farm in Kaban Queensland Australia 4888. Locals object to the project. The company NEOEN are proposing to build illegal sized wind turbines of 240m height in Kaban. The state legislation states a legal height for a wind turbine is 150m. How can NEOEN get away with this? These illegal sized wind turbines are nowhere else on land in the world. They are out at sea. A legal distance for a wind turbine of 150m from a livable dwelling is 1.5km. NEOEN is using the same distance of 1.5km from an illegal sized 240m wind turbine. How is this equal? There are no assesements or measurable evidence on people living near a 240m wind turbine. There are health risks, mental heath concerns, water management issues, flora and fauna being affected, emergency helicopter flight paths being interferred with, construction and road access concerns and so much more.
