Demand Equal Protection for Divorced Parents
Demand equal protection under the law for divorced parents and their children.
Make it law that no Court or parent may remove more than 50% rights and time to their children from a divorced parent without meeting the same bar that would be required to remove a child from parents who are not divorced.
STOP the fighting and putting the children in the middle with this law -- by making it automatic that every parent has equal time and equal rights to their children upon the filing of a divorce.
STOP having to spend tens of thousands of dollars on lawyers to fight for your children just because your marital relationship failed. Children have a right to expect that their parents do not have to improverish themselves battling over custody.
STOP the incentive for parents to tell the children to pick one parent over the other -- children have the right to expect that one parent will not be stolen from them or ripped from them just because their marital relationship failed.
STOP the incentive to involve the children and STOP the Courts from encouraging parents to battle each other in court and put the children in the middle -- by giving parents automatic equal rights and time wit their children even when they are divorced.
The real victims in this mess are always the children.
Demand equal protection under the law for divorced parents and you are demanding protection for your children's rights to their parents.
We the undersigned can no longer stand to tolerate being forced into forfeiting our rights to our children to an angry, vengeful system and ex-spouse.
Parents have been forced to forfeit their rights when the other parent decides to wage a war in family court. Both parents are then forced to fight. And regardless of whether the attacked parent has ever broken any laws that would risk them losing their children, or ever abused their children, they are now facing the risk of their children being ripped from their lives. They are facing having to pay tens of thousands of dollars to battle this threat.
