Teach this kid to love what green we have left!! Community service and pay back every penny!

On September 2nd, two young men were observed with fireworks in a highly flammable forest. After lighting them and throwing them the kids laughed and when the fire started blazing and someone asked them they said "nothing we can do about it now". This to me sounds like a young man that needs a bit of a lesson on just how amazing our gorge was and just how tragic his immature and destructive actions have been. I have heard it all, from "let him go he is just a child" to "he should be hanged for his actions" or "felony charges" and to this I respond with a proposition. How about community service served every Saturday and Sunday at the site of the fire for as long as it takes to rebuild what he destroyed. Cleaning up ash from the buildings that burned, clearing the once so beautiful trail, planting trees, reconstruction of the tunnel, and cleanup of what's left of the charred animals. Some of you are thinking what about the money needed for all this, well how about the parents and kids split it. EVERY PENNY!! I believe this is a very fair punishment for someone who didn't care about our beautiful land.
