QuickSilver Swimming coaches would like to transition to a coach run team with a three-person non-partisan board. The board's role would be oversight on finances, taxes, legal, ethics, and ensuring we are operating within the scope of our mission statement. The club would remain a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. Coaches, under the leadership of the CEO/Head Coach, would run the daily operations of the team without political inference of the board. The coaches were able to run the team in 2014 through the beginning of 2016, which resulted in the most successful financial years of the team. In the water, the team has been amazing the past few years. Now, we need to set-up the organization to support this success long-term.
To make these changes and move the club forward in a positive direction, we need to call a special election for a bylaw change. Our goal is to keep continuity and stability for the kids. Help us keep QuickSilver together and be the best team we can be!
We need 40 signatures to petition for a bylaw change.
