MOVE SENIOR NIGHT BACK!

Jennings Senior High School Athletic Director Jarod Powell changed the date of Senior night for our Varsity Basketball and Cheerleaders from Friday 2/17 to Wednesday 2/15 without one single word or communication to any parent of any student of all grades or even the coaches for that matter. They too had no knowledge of the change when asked by a parent who heard the news from another who does not even have a student on any of the teams. More importantly he has yet to communicate that the date was changed. Parents and Seniors are furious since senior night has been 2/17 since the schedule was shared. Families have some coming from out of town to spectate the game as well as support those seniors being recognized. T-shirt orders were placed and families are upset that due to the last minute change their orders will not be on time and are now out of money. Again I stress NO COMMUNICATION OR CONTACT HAS BEEN MADE TO DATE! The Athletic Director at University City High School (Matt) has already been contacted and he advised that the change was in fact made at the request of Jarod Powell JSH AD. We do not even know the reason behind the change although we have suspicions of a girls game being held at U-City on Friday which should NEVER trump Senior night. Parents have been looking forward to senior night this entire year and prepared by making sure family and friends knew it was forth coming long before February.
