Plagiarism has been an issue on FictionPress for years. Now it has escalated to full out criminal activity with attacks on authors like SweetUnknown and countless others before her. I will not give the perpetrators any more attention than necessary, but information can be found for anyone curious. We believe it is time to put an end to this epidemic before none of us can feel safe posting and sharing our work on this site we have all come to love. FictionPress MUST make it impossible to copy/paste work TODAY. We all know it can be done from our involvement with other writing sites and the plagiarism has gone on long enough. As writers, we know the blood, sweat, and tears poured into each piece we author. Let’s stand together as a community, raise our voices, and refuse to let this go on for one more moment! No other author should suffer this pain and we won’t stand for it.
