ICE Must Free Michigan Doctor Who is a Polish Immigrant

In one of the latest in stupid uses of government effort and funds, a physician in Michigan who immigrated here as a small child has been detained and may be deported. He has a wife, a career, two children — has lived in the US for nearly 40 years — and now they want to send him back to Poland.

ICE decided to go after him because he had two misdemeanor charges as a teenager. Is descruction of property under $100 as a 17-year-old really a reason this country should lose a doctor and family man? I sure don't think so. 

Niec fled Poland for the US in 1979. This is the only life he has ever known. It's such a waste of time and resources to pursue this man. Not to mention the trauma he and his family are experiencing now. 

Beyond the moral argument of why this is so wrong, there is a practical argument to be made. ICE is wasting resources on trying to deport someone who a) pays a lot of taxes because he is a physician and b) poses no current threat to our country. This is honestly really dumb on many fronts.
