Ban Herbicide That Hurts Endangered Whooping Cranes!

Dow's strong chemical herbicide, called Enlist Duo, is dangerous for two endangered native species: the whooping crane and the Indiana Bat. These beneficial animals ingest toxins when they eat insects exposed to fields sprayed with the herbicide.

Enlist Duo is a combination of glyphosate and the herbicide 2, 4-D. When farmers spray the product, they double the amount of chemicals on their land. These chemicals trickle into the water supply and are carried through the air via wind, insects and birds. Animals who eat prey exposed to Enlist Duo will ingest its toxic chemicals.

The EPA has approved the strong herbicide, despite concerns that its harm to endangered cranes and bats violate the Endangered Species Act. Please sign the petition to urge the EPA to reconsider their stance and ban Enlist Duo!
