Consumer Credit Reports contain not only your social security number but your date of birth, how much you owe on your home, when your payments are late to how much you spend at certain stores and private services- none of this is your prospective employer or present employers business. The information obtained is used to subjectively discriminate or blackmail you by your employer or prospective employer. Additionally, the information should not be required just to apply to a job as you do not know how they manage such data- do they print it out? Could scrupulous employees read it and stalk you or worse stalk your identity and now they know how much you spend a Wal-Mart? It's a serious, dangerous and grave unjust invasion of your privacy
