Find the criminal who screwed a koala to a wooden post

Someone thought it would be funny to screw a koala to a wooden post.

At first glance, it looked as if the cute marsupial was simply halfway through a climb, but on closer inspection horrified onlookers realized it was actually dead and had been screwed in place.

Further investigation revealed that the koala was, fortunately, dead when before it had been mounted, but does it matter? Someone who is capable of doing such a horrible act will likely continue and needs to be caught before they hurt other wildlife or worse.

Before the release of the autopsy officials had been looking for a possible animal abuser, but now that they know the animal was previously dead the case could get put on the back burner.

Regardless of whether or not this animal was dead or alive when it was screwed to this post, officials should continue their search for the criminal who did it.
