On April 26, 2000, Gainax Production I.G produced FLCL. It is the first of its kind with top awards in cosplay for best soundtrack, best dubbed, best animated, and best overall. However, Gainax Production only planned to use the FLCL series to test its equipments, so they only produced 6 episodes included in its only season ending with Haruko leaving earth. Most of the fans of FLCL (by fans meaning that each person who have watched FLCL loved it) were not satisfied with the short series and wanted more, so I have created a petition for a second season.
