STOP KILLING "OWNER SURRENDERED ANIMALS!"

Florida residents and all who care about animals being killed in "owner surrendered shelters." Please sign this before it comes up for a vote in FL. I realize the following is long, but it is TRUE.  PLEASE READ!!!

Legislation introduced in Florida: The lives of as many as 23,000 animals a year hang in the balance SB 1534, the Animal Rescue Act, has just been introduced in Florida. It would make it illegal for Florida shelters to kill animals when rescue groups are willing to save them. A 2012 survey of Florida rescue groups reported that 64% have been turned away by a shelter that turned around and killed the very animals they offered to save. The bill would also make it illegal for shelters to kill “owner surrendered” animals within minutes, without ever giving them a chance for adoption or offering them to rescue groups. Today, these animals are MARCHED FROM THE FRONT ROOM TO THE KILL ROOM WHERE THEY ARE KILLED AND THROWN INTO GARBAGE BAGS! People are the worst animals!
