Golden Lab mix to be euthanized for allegedly killing a duck

Beau's owner left him in the care of two neighbors when there was a family medical emergency. During this time it is alleged that Beau killed a neighbors duck(illegal to keep in the city limits) and chased a little boy with the intent to bite. The child later recanted the story. Beau raised his hackles when an ACO and police officer tried to capture him(he was scared and ran away). The judge deemed Beau vicious and to be held in the local shelter until euthanized. At the time of the hearing Mr. Higgins didn't have an attorney, or the exorbitant funds required to fence, put in lighting, vicious dog insurance and more. An outside behaviorist has deemed Beau is not vicious. He has been in the shelter for over 4 months while Pro Bono lawyers fight for the ruling to be overturned.
