Demand a nurse patient ratio. We need safe staffing,Now!

I am a nurse in a facility that will work a hall with 1 aide and 1 nurse for a dementia hall of up to 26 residents. This may not seem like much, but with behaviors and falls all the time it is! I have seen nurses take care of over 50 residents at a time with 2 aides! Nurses are hurting themselves and not getting proper attention from the workplace! Residents are being hurt falling sometimes critically as nurses and aids are overwhelmed! The only time it changes is when state shows up! We need a change our bodies are broke and no one cares!Lets get this changed for nurses and residents everywhere. We have the right to be healthy too!
