Stop California's Texting (SMS) surcharge!

Starting in Jan,2019 the state of California may soon introduce a tax on texting (SMS) services as a result of the CPUC's statement on declined voice service usage. The citizens and residents of California are already paying high amounts of taxes to help subsidise the poor and elderly with their phone services. I as a low income consumer already has to pay MTS sucharges for prepaid mobile telephony for example: a $75 refill with tax is almost $90! Postpaid consumers will pay much more in the form of "Universal Service Fees". The citizens and residents of California also want to know whether these taxes are actually paying for low income lifeline service,or just used as an excuse to fill the politician's wallets for personal gain. This type of taxation will not be sustainable in the long run. What about chat apps? those will not be taxed either. So the state will lose money anyway! The mobile network operators will have extra costs to collect these SMS taxes so it costs more to collect than to pay to the CPUC,and who passes those fees to? YOU! The consumer has to pay for those added taxes and fees! We are tired of being taxed to death! Lets place this regressive texting (SMS) tax regulation where it belongs, in the shredder!



Solution:
We the citizens and residents of this state urge CA to abandon this idea of a regressive mobile texting (SMS) tax that makes the poor,low income, and middle class pay more than the high income earners. Politicians in CA are harming low income and middle class residents with high enough taxes as it is,yet politicians themselves are getting tax cuts that only benefit themselves. We The People, will stand up and revolt against this new taxation scheme. The time is now, the state has plenty of subsidies to go around,but most of the money is too often abused,wasted,and headed towards worth-less projects that are often unessasary. I am a regular citizen and resident of this state,its time to rebel and tell the state to say NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION! PEROID!
