Demand an End To Unsafe Intersections In Las Vegas

There are intersections in Las Vegas where the walk signal comes on at the same time the left turn signal does.
It is unsafe. It is a frightening experience.Las Vegas is one of the leading cities in the nation, if not the TOP leading city, for traffic fatalities (including HIT AND RUN deaths, some of which may be murders) and pedestrian deaths.
No one should be forced to cross the street and risk being hit by a car. And sadly, many drivers here do not wait, do not stop, and do not pay attention.
But that is a separate problem in itself.
Back to the issue of pedestrian safety at intersections.
Here are two very dangerous examples of intersections that are unsafe for pedestrians because the left turn signal is RIGGED to go on the same time as the walk signal:
1.) E. CHARLESTON and SACRAMENTO AVE. (NE Las Vegas)
2.) W. LAKE MEAD BLVD. and GATEWAY PLAZA ST. (NW Las Vegas, before Summerlin)

We need to urge the Clark County Commisioners, Nevada Dept. Of Public Safety, Dept. Of Transportation, the City of Las Vegas, and THE STATE OF NEVADA to fix these traffic signals and make these intersections safer and less frightening for pedestrians.
Most other traffic intersections do not have this problem.
Most intersections stop traffic and allow the pedestrian to cross the street when no car may turn left, and there is no moving cross-traffic.
WHY ARE THOSE OTHER TWO INTERSECTIONS NOT AS SAFE AS OTHERS IN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS??

Please sign the petition and urge the City, County, and State to work together to protect the lives of pedestrians.

Thank You
