REFUGEES ARE WELCOME HERE KICK THE FASCISTS OUT OF PEMBROKESHIRE!

Let's welcome refugees and migrants to Wales!

It's a source of pride that we sing, "we'll keep a welcome" because our hearts are always as big as our voices.

But the Westminster government is encouraging us to scapegoat and reject the refugee and migrants we've always welcomed - and their behaviour is encouraging the Far Right to do the same. 

But we need to remember that Wales has been partly built by migrants.

People coming to Wales looking for work or fleeing from poverty and war, don't take our jobs, they don't take our benefits. 

They are not an invading army, they are people just like you and me.

Migrants bring skills and culture that enrich our lives. Some have arrived to play football for premier league clubs or help build our NHS. Many did not make it, they died just dreaming of a chance to live, many of them were just children.

The Home Office should not be putting refugees in prison camps as if they were criminals, they should be providing proper housing and support.

Scapegoating has long been a tactic of those who wish to deflect anger onto others. Who is responsible for a lack of jobs, housing and for homelessness? Certainly not migrants! 

We should reject the fascists who come to our towns to agitate against them.

We say homes not camps, support not opposition. We will open our hearts to refugees and migrants. We will always keep a welcome in Wales.
