The world was shocked on January 8th when the supporters of disgraced ex-president of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro charged the National Congress building in an even more poorly executed attempt to hold their own January 6th riot.
The attackers — all 1,400 of them were all immediately arrested by the military and will face justice, but the man who inspired the clumsy uprising, Bolsonaro himself, is now holed up in an Orlando residence after being discharged from the hospital after treatment for yet another one of his constant mysterious ailments. Like Donald Trump, Bolsonaro needs to face justice!
Tell the US to send Bolsonaro back to Brazil!
"Nearly 2 years to the day the US Capitol was attacked by fascists, we see fascist movements abroad attempt to do the same in Brazil. We must stand in solidarity with [Lula's] democratically elected government. The US must cease granting refuge to Bolsonaro in Florida!" tweeted Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
She's absolutely right. We cannot allow Bolsonaro to hide in the United States after such a dangerous attack against Brazil's democracy. Send him home to face the music!
