WE SUPPORT LEGACY TRAVEL CLUB!

On Sunday, April 6, 2008, my father, Bruce Allen, died of a glioblastoma multiforme brain tumor. Less than 72 hours later, my former employer, ATA Airlines, shut its doors, and thus delivered a serious economic blow to the city of Indianapolis. Those two events left me with a deep sense of loss but also forged a new purpose in my life to make a positive difference for those who suffered with the loss of ATA. For those of you who have lost a parent, you know how those losses can rattle everything in your life.

I created Legacy Travel Club to offset the loss of ATA, and to take care of my wife, Sandy, and my son, Samuel. The name “Legacy” is for my father and my son, wanting to leave behind something my son will remember me by. My years spent at ATA showed me how an entire city can unite behind such an idea and concept. This is a great inspiration for me to dedicate everything that I am, to creating and growing a small business. Especially one that brings back enduring memories and will fill a great need in Indianapolis.

Many of our supporters and members have also opened many doors for us in helping raise investment capital! These people are truly the spirit and backbone of small business, coming together for a company they sincerely believe in, and want to see succeed.

While we appreciate the Department of Transportation's efforts to protect consumers, we sincerely ask the DOT to work with Legacy Travel Club in a spirit of cooperation, not against it. We support Mr. Allen and what Legacy Travel Club will mean to the city of Indianapolis and countless other communities throughout the region. Above all else, we believe it takes a great team to make a great dream come true!
