I Find it hard to belive that out there in this world lives heartless people who find it ok to go and cut fins off innocent sharks. I don't think that people are fully aware of the rapidly declining number of sharks. You may sit there and think how horrible this is. but if you really cared then you would do something about it. Even if it is as simple as signing my petition
Many people have a fear or phobia of sharks.But what we all have to remember is that the ocean is the sharks home, not ours. When we enter the ocean we are entering the sharks habitat. Sharks have gathered a bad reputation.This is Hollywood fault. the film jaws portrays sharks to be monsterous creatures who were born to kill. But as any diver will tell you diving with sharks is just like diving with another animal.Sharks do not attack humans on purpose. They presume we are seals because sharks are unaware of what we are.We confuse the shark.
I hope that this alone will persuade you to sign my and many other petitions. And if you still don't feel that it is an important matter then why don't you take a look for your self .
