For the last several months Darrell Issa has been abusing his Chairmanship of the House Government Reform and Oversight Committe to "expose" the non-scandal at the IRS regarding shortcuts that agents at the Cincinnati Office used to classify the flood of requests by political organizations for 501(c)4 status. The law, as originally written, allowed NO political activity which the IRS amended, opening a can of worms.
Issa ordered investigation only of the extra questions asked of TeaBully organizations, none of which were denied the status, unlike some of the Progressive organizations that sought the designation.
Issa, one of the wealthiest Congressmen currently sitting, also used this as a fundraising tool, raising $450,000 more than his previous best quarter in the second quarter of this year.
