EarthBound is a wonderful game that was released in America June 5th, 1995. The game didn't sell well, partially due to an ineffective advertisement campaign. The game didn't sell well, so production stopped.
Fastforward to 2012. The Mother/EarthBound series has a large following as well as a cult. Critics praise it as "ahead of its time". 2 unofficial fan translations have been released for various games in the series. Carts cost $129.99 if you're lucky. People go to great lengths just to play the games in this series.
That's where you come in. Past petitions have failed. But according to a recent article, (http://earthboundcentral.com/2012/07/earthbounds-specific-legal-issues/) there are only three legal issues EarthBound has to worry about. Only one of the three legal issues requires effort.
With your help, I believe we can sway Nintendo to tweak this masterpiece for modern day audiences. With at least 10,000 signatures, I believe we can sway Nintendo's opinion. Instead of gripping that SNES controller while playing a $120 game, we could play the tweaked, $8 on our GamePad. Help a fellow Mother fan out, and sign this petition today!
