Take Action! Washington Cougars in Jeopardy

The House of Representatives just passed a bill, which is a substitute bill 2438 to greatly reduce the protectrions for cougars. Help and action is needed to stop this in the senate now. Back in 1996, voters approved an initiative 655, which would prohibite the cruel nature of hunting cougars with hounds. However, in 2004, The washington legislature turned their noses up at the will of the voters and apporved a pilot project that would allow the expansion of this type of hunting in certain parts of Washington. This new bill would extend the project for another three years. More Cougars killed, now good. Contact the state Senator, as well as signing this petition. Harriet Spanel and urge her to oppose this bill.
