I don't need a weapon

I am an army veteran. I am an educator at a preschool. I do not need weapons to protect my children. I need people to be thoroughly background checked (as they would with a car) before obtaining a weapon after 21 years of age. I don't need disgruntled, uninformed teenagers able to obtain arms. I need weapons to be regulated within the civilian population. This is not the wild west. We are striving toward a civilized and respectable society.
