Shark finning needs to come an end all over the world! Unfortunately, My petition forcing japan to stop trading is a little ambitious at this stage but a petition to shut down shark fin imports is something I can put to our government.
Australia imported 23 tonnes of shark fins in 2013 and 18 tonnes in 2014.
These beautiful creatures have survived five major extinctions yet humans are ransacking the ocean at such a rapid rate that if the system doesnt change, they havent got chance 10-25 years at most! What if you dont like sharks? Well this isnt about a human bond with the animal.
In a nutshell- Take these creatures out of the ecosystem and slowly our oceans will turn to slime where bacteria thrives and only the simplist of life form exists.
We need to protect our sharks to protect all of our marine life!
