To help protect the children of Michigan from being bullied. Which in turn, could prevent suicides and other teen deaths/murders. Michigan is one of only 5 states in this country that does not have a bullying law. People who deal with being bullied should have some law to help protect them. Weather it be cyber, school, or on the streets, bullying is a big deal and hurts thousands of kids each year.
1 in every 4 children is bullied. Without having a law in effect, teacher, parents, even police, can't do much of anything to protect those who need it. In turn, the victims can feel helpless and alone, which can result in suicide, murder, deep depression. No body should ever have to feel that way. We all have the right to live our lives and be who we are without being harassed and bullied. It's gotten out of control, it's time to put an end to this NOW!
