Concerned Families of VA Prisoners-verses-Virginia Department of Corrections

This is important to me because my son is incarcerated and this new order doesn’t make sense. To prevent them from basic meals to prisoners, family members and friends to share a meal once a week is not too much ask. This is basic human rights the prisoners should not be treated like animals. The 2nd issue is the prisoners have to change clothing even their under garments, that belongs to someone, this could be health issue. 3rd- To shred pictures and personal letter is simply a mean thing to do. They are already behind the wall doing their time and to deprive them this small token that means so much to them, however it means nothing to someone else.
