Justice for capone

On Tuesday march 20, 2018 someone took the life of our sweet pit bull, Capone. He would have been 3 years old in may. I want to get my story out I'm hopes that something is done. Just the Saturday before we took him to stay with a friend because he wasn't allowed at the place we rent. We didn't want to permanently give him away as we had planned to move JUST TO HAVE HIM WITH US AGAIN. At around 7pm the friend that had him, called my husband with some horrible news. He had chewed he kennel open and got out. They looked for him and knocked on doors. They ask one neighbor if she had seen him. She admitted he had been in her yard and she killed him. She lied and said he was chasing her chickens and wouldn't leave so she shot at the ground with a PISTOL and it ricocheted. But he was shot twice. Then she dumped my baby in a gully like trash. My husband drove over and hour to get him and talk to the people. The husband who wasn't there at the time talked to my husband and admitted she shot him on purpose. Said she caught him peeing on her house and when she tried to get him to leave he wouldn't "listen" to her. The lady was very ugly and unremorseful to my husband. He wasn't just a dog to us, he was my baby, my boys best friend and was loved by extended family as well. It is under investigation but, I fear nothing will be done. I have cried for days but, the hardest part was telling my boys. I watched them hurt and cry like they lost a brother. I pray we can get something done.
