Bicyclopyrone, a toxic new pesticide, has the potential to destroy millions of plants and animals, some of them on the Endangered Species list. So why did the United States Environmental Protection Agency approve it for use?
The EPA is supposed to protect the air, water, and soil of America against exactly this kind of threat. Environmentalists are rightly concerned that this new poison has been unleashed on crops. Once bicyclopyrone has been sprayed on farms and lawns, it only a matter of time before it finds its way into waterways. Herbicides are heavily implicated in the decline of Monarch butterflies. Bees are also vulnerable, and the loss of bee colonies threatens our general food supply because, without bees, fruit and vegetable crops will not be pollinated.

We the undersigned are outraged that you have licensed the use of bicyclopyrone, a dangerous chemical that has the potential to destroy plants, butterflies, and pollinators. Actions such as these threaten our very food supply. Our crops cannot flourish without pollinators, such as bees. And the bee population is already declining dangerously. Your commission as the Environmetal PROTECTION Agency is to protect America from dangerous chemicals that threaten our air, waterways, and plant and animal life. Please do your jobs and make this chemical illegal.
