We demand to purchase "Hot" food with food stamps

50 years ago, it made sense to only be able to purchase unprepared food with food stamps. Now it doesn't make sense. With the homeless population not being able to prepare food. The older population not being able to cook a lot of foods and the low income people who can't afford to cook many things. You can buy a rotisserie chicken at many stores, cheaper than the cost of a whole fresh chicken. You can get food at convenience stores for less money than it would cost to prepare a meal. Del Taco has two for $2.00 taco Tuesdays and two for $3.00 chicken tacos on Thurs. 7 Eleven has pizza, chicken, corn dogs etc. "Great for homeless people who can't store food." Most grocery stores have deli's. California has changed that rule and also people can use food stamps at fast food restaurants. Time for Oregon to step it up and stop being so "back woods".
