Ban Assault Weapons NOW!

If you are as disgusted and outraged as I am by yet ANOTHER mass shooting, please take the following action:

Call your three members of Congress: 202-224-3121

DEMAND that they support and pass the following:

1. Universal background checks for ALL gun purchases.

2. A ban on ALL assault weapons.

3. Buyback of ALL currently-owned assault weapons.

In 1976, Australia had the last of its mass shootings. Right after that, the government banned assault weapons and bought back those already owned. They have not had a mass shooting since then in Australia.

If they can do it, so can the U.S.

Assault weapons such as the AR-15 used in yesterday's murder of 17 students in Parkland, FL are made for only one purpose: to kill as many people as possible.

They are NOT used for hunting (except for hunting humans). They are weapons of mass murder.

Americans who believe that they "need" assault weapons "to fight against the government when the dictatorship fully takes away our rights" are insanely delusional to think they are going to be able to stand up against a military armed with tanks and fighter planes, and police armed with military weapons.
