Install a visible clothesline at The White House

More than 6% of residential electricity consumption is due to the tumble dryer. We are facing devastating climate change impacts, largely brought on by consumption habits in the developed world. This symbolic act could provide an example to the world of the way families can save energy and money.

There are so many reasons to line-dry clothes (see http://www.laundrylist.org/en/line-drying). Encourage the First Family to install a clothesline in a visible location at The White House so that they can set an example for the world about the important ways that households can conserve energy.
