Lisle has been through this before....a store selling puppy mill puppies and perpetuating the misery of thousands of puppy mill mothers and fathers. This particular store is a chain store called Puppyland. We just had a puppy mill sourced store like this closed down two years ago and found 60 + dogs in the back living in miserable conditions with many, many ailments. The latest attempt to confuse consumers is to say they are selling shelter pets. While this is true for a very, very ethical few this is NOT the case for Puppyland. Village residents do not want to see someone coming in and starting up this misery once again. The village of Lisle is a peaceful town and we cherish our pets and a so-called business such as this that breeds cruelty cannot and must not be tolerated. This petition will go out to the new mayor Christoper Pecak and Village council members. Ask them NOT to approve the business license for Puppyland and Leo Tatro and to REMOVE any and all codes allowing businesses to sell live animals unless they are an approved shelter.
