Man Killed Family's Pet Cat in Front of Child and Committed Domestic Violence

A man in Missouri apparently killed his family's pet cat after committing a domestic violence assault. A young child was present and bore witness to the sheer horror of what this man did to their cat.

Few details have been released to the public so far, but officials in Cape Girardeau say that the man had gone into a rage and began violently lashing out at those around him. That included both people and animals.

He has been arrested and charged with abuse or neglect of a child, domestic assault, and misdemeanor animal abuse.

We have to demand that authorities do everything possible to keep children, other adults, and all pets safe from this dangerous man. If he could kill a helpless, screaming, terrified pet cat in front of a child, what else is this man capable of?
